QBOA Subscription Payment Options

I need a quick answer asap.

I have QBOA and have clients on Wholesale billing due soon for renewal. I have changed my subscription payment card details from a credit card, which was in place previously, to Prepaid Card. I entered the OTP from my bank which issued the Prepaid Card and the change was saved in QuickBooks. Will the card be accepted at billing time?

Yes, the card will be accepted at billing time as long as you saved the details without errors in QuickBooks Online.


The system accepts Mastercard, Visa, Discover Card, or American Express, and even set up Direct Debit. You can get more details about this in this article: Manage billing, payment, and subscription info in QuickBooks Online.


Also, using its default currency, you can clarify that you're using the QuickBooks Online UK version. Here's how:


From the Dashboard:


  1. Open your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. On the Dashboard, see the currency sign used on the graphs.


From the Accounts and Settings page:

  1. Click the Gear icon and select Accounts and Settings.
  2. Go to the Advanced menu and review the Currency section.
  3. The Home Currency will show the country or currency description.

It's my pleasure to elaborate and provide an example of saving credit card details without errors in QuickBooks Online. This way, we can straighten out the confusion.


For example: The card will be accepted upon billing time when you save the credit card information without any problem. Here are some errors you might see when you update your billing details.


  • Something's not quite right.
  • It looks like there was a problem on our end. Select Save again.
  • Blank page/screen (unable to enter billing details).
  • Subscription-error billing.
