Since the old accountant is set up as the master admin in the company file, he/she needs to transfer the master admin to you. Once done they can remove the wholesale billing. Then you can in your QuickBooks invite the new accountant as a user and once the billing is taken over by the new accountant you can remove the old accountant user by deleting them in manage users.
If you want the new accountant to be master admin you can transfer access but we'd generally recommend the business owner keeps master admin access.
To invite an accountant user using the new interface:
- Click the Gear icon at the top.
- Under Your Company, select Manage Users.
- Go to the Accounting firms tab, then click Invite Accountant.
- The new user will receive an email notification with instructions upon signing in to QuickBooks.
- Once he/she accepted the invitation, the status of the user will show as Active.
To remove an accountant user:
- Click the Gear icon at the top.
- Select Manage Users under Your Company.
- On the Accounting firms tab, locate the name of the user.
- Select Delete on the Action drop-down.
