Welcome to the Community. Allow me to chime in and share additional guidance on fixing the error when connecting to QuickBooks Online.

Since you can log in through the incognito window, the browser's cache may be full. It can cause unusual behavior in QuickBooks, like being unable to access an account.

 

I suggest you clear the cache data to get back on track. You should be able to access your account through a regular browser after you perform the recommended steps.

 

We also have a list of supported computer operating systems and internet speeds for optimal QuickBooks performance. I've attached an article you can use to learn more about it: System requirements for QuickBooks Online, Accountant, Payroll, and QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Does anyone have a problem connecting with QBO? I can only log in through incognito window.

im haveing the same problem just on 1 desktop, have cleared cache, have changed browsers, have turned of firewall and norton, works for a day then just wont load, works fine in cogneto?

Hi there, @handytom. I'm happy to assist you in opening your QuickBooks Online account in a regular browser.

 

I know the importance of opening your account without using the incognito browser. As you've mentioned, you're done clearing your cache and cookies, but the issue persists.

 

I suggest contacting our support, as they have a secure environment to pull up your account and investigate why your QBO is not opening using a regular browser page. Follow these steps how:

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Select Help (?).
  3. In QB Assistant, enter the topic you need help with. You can also enter questions.
  4. In Search, select Contact Us to connect with a live support agent.
  5. Choose a way to connect with us:
    • Start a chat with a support expert. Live chat all day, M-F.
