I can't connect to HSBC, their website refers to article 1297595 where I am to find a unique reference number field. Can anyone help with this I've wasted so much time trying to connect I'm using Firefox on an iMac, I don't know if that's the issue (although also tried on Safari) or it's an HSBC/QB issue. HELP!
I've got the steps so you can connect HSBC to QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), Demiurge.
Before we start, are you getting an error when syncing HSBC to QBSE? If so, please comment below so I can check and verify it here on my end.
While waiting for your response, make sure to use supported browsers when accessing your account. Check out the System requirements for QuickBooks Online, Accountant, and QuickBooks Self-Employed link for more details.
Next, you can clear cache and cookies on your Firefox and Safari browsers. It helps refresh website preferences that might be causing issues when you use QuickBooks.
Once done, you can connect HSBC. Let me show you how:
If you're still unable to connect your bank, you can manually download transactions from your financial institution (FI). Then, import them using a CSV file to keep your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account updated.

Thanks, I had gone through those steps several times it turns out it was a DNS server issue on the Mac. Don't ask me to explain that sentence!!
