Thank you for having an interest in QuickBooks, @Anonymous.
To bring your files with us, you’ll have to enroll for a subscription first, and then export all your files from your current accounting program then save it as a back-up.
After that, you have 2 options you can in Quickbooks itself import data directly, such as customers, suppliers, invoices, bills, chart of accounts and product and services.
To import specific data manually(it needs to be in a CSV format) you can
1.Go to the Gear icon, select Import Data under the Tools column.
2. Choose and click on the icon to identify the data that you wanted to import.
3. Browse the data, and then click Next.
4. Hit the Import button after.
Or
You can use Quickbooks and the Data Switcher tool to migrate the full file.
If you want to move the full file o data you would need instead to link through the Dataswitcher tool and begin the export to Quickbooks for more information on the how to begin this process and any limitations and additional information please see this article: Move your data to QuickBooks Online.
Do you have questions in mind? Let me know right away so that I can help. Take care!

@Anonymous
Make sure which product you want to use now. QB SE is a stand-alone product and no migration path to QB Online.

If you choose QB Online, try call and ask Intuit Data Service to migrate your data from old system.

Could you send us a screenshot of the error you are getting when you try and connect your Barclays account so we can have a look into it for you?
