Hello there, headnanny,

Make sure to turn off your browser's pop-up blocker while connecting your bank. This is to make sure that all contents of the pop-up window is displayed. Use the steps in this article on how to turn it off: Enable pop-up windows.

If the error persists, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Self-Employed support. They'll be able to check the error you're getting and provide a resolution.

You also have an option to import your banking transactions using a CSV file if you're still getting the same issue. Here's how:

  1. Go to your bank's website and download a CSV copy of your banking transactions.
  2. Once done, go back to QBSE and click the Gear icon.
  3. Select Imports
  4. Click Import older transactions
  5. Click Browse and look for the file.
  6. Click Continue.

Once imported, you can proceed to assigning categories to your transactions.

Here's an article as a reference: Categorize and edit transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Let me know if you need anything else.
