Before that, I would like to ask what error message you received when trying to log in to your QBO.
If you forgot your user ID or password in QBO, here's the fastest way to recover your account:
- Go to our sign-in help page.
- Enter your phone number, email address, or user ID for your account.
- A verification code will be sent via email or text. If you enter a user ID, choose which method you prefer.
- Enter the verification code, then follow the instructions in the message. More questions will be asked for verification purposes.
- Once done, you can reset your password. Or, select Skip.
Once logged in, I recommend changing the easily remembered information to avoid this from happening again.
If you are unable to receive verification codes via text, email, or phone call during login, here are a few things you can do:
- Check your spam or junk folders to see if the code went there.
- Verify the email address signed up for your account.
- Unblock or add Do_not_reply@intuit.com as approved sender in your email app.
- You can get a new code sent to you by clicking I didn't get a text, I didn't get an email, or I didn't get a phone call link on the sign-in page.
- If your phone is lost, you can check your text message online at your cell carrier's website.
If you're locked out of your QBO account, there'll be a prompt message: Too many invalid attempts, account is locked out for 15 minutes. You can try logging in again with a phone number, email, or user ID after 15 minutes.
