I do the books for two separate companies paying separate subscriptions but under 1 ID and password. As I shall no longer being doing the accounts for one of the companies I want to move it out of that ID and into a separate one so that I can hand over the books to a new bookkeeper.
I can't see how I can do it anywhere. Can someone help?

Can I clarify you are going to the cog wheel>manage users> add a user as company admin>fill in all the details for the new bookkeep> once they have expected the invite you can transfer master admin to them and then you will not have any access to that company.
Hi Smash652, When saying you do the books are you the Accountant and noted down in manage users as the Accountant or are you down as a user? Please let us know so that we can assist with your query.
Thanks
Hi Thanks for getting back to me. I am down as a Master Admin. I am away on holiday for a week now but will pick it up again when I get back. In the meantime I will try to have a look at my messages.
Thanks again.
Hi
Does anyone have a solution to my dilemma? Just want to move one company into a different ID so that the new bookkeeper can't see both companies.
Thanks so far
Sue
Hello Smash652,
What you need to do is, If you add the bookkeeper to the separate file they need the access to with there email address they will only see and have access to that one account. As you will; have only added them as a user under that one account, not both, any question feel free to get back to us.
Is that the only way?
Won't that restrict the new bookkeeper's access? I really wanted to move completely away from that company. I have tried to change the ID in the company that I want to offload but it changes it for both companies. Surely there must be a way to do this so that I can completely separate that company.

OK. Thanks. I understand now. The new bookkeeper has not been taken on as yet so I can't do that right now but I will as soon as I know who the bookkeeper is going to be. Thanks for your help.
Regards
