Signed up expecting the 4 month offer, but got charge the full amount. And now my account says there is an error on the subscription setting.

What went wrong and why is it impossible to contact them. Is there a refund period or something?

Heya, it won't let me screenshot even after switching on the 15min thing in the settings.

 

It just says subscription error, check back later. So don't know what that's about. But it's been like that since yesterday. But I still don't understand why I was charged the full amount and not the offer amount that I thought I was getting.

You may have subscribed to the free trial version when you signed up for your QuickBooks Online account. The moment it expires, automatically you'll be charged the full amount. Please refer to this link for your reference: QuickBooks Online pricing. If you turn on the Radio button for a free trial, you have a regular price after 30 days. If not, you can take advantage of 50% off for 4 months.

 

On the other hand, let's run troubleshooting steps to get rid of the subscription error. Unusual behavior like this is sometimes caused by stored internet files on a browser. You can start accessing your account in a private incognito window. Here are the shortcut keys:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Option P

 

If the error is gone, you can go back to your regular browser and then clear its cache to delete unwanted internet files that cause the software to malfunction. Alternatively, you can use different supported browsers to further isolate.
