I am trying to link my QB account to my Natwest bank accounts. I can log into Natwest fine, then select the accounts I want to link and press 'confirm access to selected accounts'. I then get a confirmation that the accounts are linked and will be redirected back to QB, but in the process of being redirected I then get an error with the message in the title and when returning to QB manually my accounts are not showing up. Screenshot also attached with the message.

I'm here to help you connect your NatWest account to QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), @Benji CM.

Can you tell us more about the error you're having when trying to connect your bank account? A screenshot is also a great help.

You can try to log in to your QBSE account using a private browser or an incognito window when trying to connect this account.

Here’s how to go incognito or use a private browser:

  • For Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N.
  • For Microsoft Edge or Firefox, press Ctrl + Shift + P.
  • For Safari, hold down Command + Shift + N.

Here's more information on how to clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online. Once you're done clearing your browser's cache, restart your browser for the changes to take effect. If not, try using other browsers.

You can now connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Self-Employed.

After reconnecting the bank successfully and pulling up new transactions, you can now categorise and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if there's anything else that I can help with adding your bank account. I'm always here to help. Take care and have a great rest of the day!

Hi Mary,

I am getting the error when using the quickbooks app. I click to connect my account, this then opens my Natwest app. I sign in here, select the accounts I want to link and confirm. I then get a confirmation that they're linked and that I will be redirected to the QB app. I then see my Natwest app attempt to switch back to the QB app which is where I then get this error and the accounts are not linked.

I am having to only use the app to connect my account as I don't have the card reader that Natwest requires to link the account on a web browser so instead, I am using the app as this can be connected by using fingerprint security.

Thanks,

Benji
