Unsubscribe from QB emails after closing account

Hello, I have closed my account but am still getting 'critical' (though now, obviously, irrelevant) emails from QB, how do I get rid of these please? There is no unsubscribe button provided.

Let me guide you on how you can unsubscribe from QuickBooks emails, Mandy.

Generally, you'll stop receiving all email notification if the admins aren't active at least once in three months. But, you'll also have an option to turn off the notification under your profile. I've added this screenshot for reference:

  1. In the top right corner of QuickBooks Online, select your name, then Profile.
  2. Choose Notifications.
  3. Under Email Subscriptions, uncheck the emails you don't want, then Save.

On top of that, learn what happens to your data after you cancel your account. To know more, check out this article for more information: What Happens To My QuickBooks Online Data After I Cancel?

Please get back to us if you have any other concerns when unsubscribing emails. We're here to make sure everything is covered.

Unsubscribe from QB emails after closing account

Maria, I do not have access to QB Online because (as stated) I have closed my account, and my final paid-up month has expired. If I try to use it, I just (understandably) get a message re purchasing the service. I have previously retrieved all the data I need. The email I received was labelled as a 'critical' one that is not, as I understand it, something you can switch off. But I don't understand why I received it at all, given my account has been closed, and nor do I want to receive any more of them.

Hi MandyShaw, sorry for any annoyance caused by this.

You can contact our GDPR team on 0808 129 5096 to request for your email to be removed from our system. Alternatively, you can flag the email as spam or add Intuit's domain to the blacklist in your email settings to block further emails from being received.

Thanks, I will 'phone them.

This all seems very complicated given that surely the logic should be 'no account, so no emails'.

If I flag such email(s) as spam, and others do similarly, surely your domain is likely to get blacklisted eventually? So that doesn't seem like a great recommendation to me.
