User Account Restrictions not working

I disabled a user from changing or deleting transactions. It works for a while, after a few transactions, user is able to delete or change sales receipts and invoices.

Hello Phesheya, Thanks for making us aware of your difficulties with user restrictions.Did you change them to a standard user with restrictions on sales transactions?

I created a new user and restricted them from changing or deleting transactions. It appears user cannot delete invoices and receipts created by a different user, but they can change or delete their own.

Thanks for getting back to us Phesheya, can we confirm the specific user type that you have selected for this user with reference to our user role guide? Please note the option to 'add, edit, and delete accounts' refers to Chart of Accounts and not individual transactions. :)

Hello Phesheya, So you can delete or make changes until you log off.  It gives you a chance to correct any mistakes before you lose the ability but only for transactions you have made. So if you create a transaction you can delete or change it until you log out. After that you lose the permissions to do so. So if you log out and back in you are unable to then change or delete anything.

Thanks for the clarification @Ashleigh1 . If only there was an option to deny permissions to alter or delete transactions altogether. Unscrupulous users are able to create transactions, pocket the cash, and then delete or alter them before logging out.

No problem at all there Phesheya, we take on board what you have said and will pass it on to our developers as feedback. There is still the audit report if you have any doubts as it still keeps a record of what is going on in your Quickbooks account, you can have a look at.
