Setting up a client with 4 businesses overall how do i do this with one login?>

Hi there, cwale52.

May I know if your client already has QuickBooks Online Account? If so, you can ask them to invite you as their accountant using your QuickBooks Online Accountant email address.

Here's how:

  1. Let your client log in to their QBO account.
  2. Go to the Gear icon, select Manage users.
  3. Click the Accounting firms tab.
  4. Enter the email address associated with your QuickBooks Online Accountant account.
  5. Once done, hit the Invite button.
  6. Repeat the same process to their other QBO account.

If your client hasn't set up an account yet or never use QuickBooks Online. You can add them to your firm using the same email so it will keep everything in one place. I'll show you how.

  1. In QuickBooks Online Accountant, go to the Clients menu.
  2. Select Add client.
  3. Select Business or Individual.
  4. Enter your client's info.
  5. In the Product section, choose No subscription.
  6. Hit Save.

Thanks for getting back here, @cwale52. I'd be happy to give additional information about your concern.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can have multiple companies using one email address. Once you log in using that email address, you'll see the list of companies associated with it under the Select Company window. However, each company you add corresponds to an individual subscription.

To do this, you simply need to enter the same email address and password when creating an account for the 4 businesses. You can go to our plans and pricing page to create a new company and choose which QBO version you need.

For your reference about the information above, feel free to visit this article: Create or add another company file to QuickBooks Online.

If you need any resources that you may bookmark for future use, go to our QuickBooks Online Help page. On the page, you may find a variety of support articles and even video tutorials to aid you with your QBO tasks.

If you have further questions about creating multiple businesses using one log in. Simply leave a reply below. It's my pleasure to answer them for you. Take care always.

@cwale52

One QBO account is for one company file. You can manage branches/divisions by utilizing the Class/Location feature available in QBO Plus. Otherwise you should open a new account.
