Hello CoachDoor,

There is no notes section in QBO. It would be nice if there was.
Maybe asker is referring to the Activities section that's in each emailed invoice (which BTW the customer can see), or the automatically generated Tasks on the dashboard.
Hi Talia,
Apologies for the delay, I didn't receive a notification to say anyone had replied to my question.
The notes section within the "Customer" - You can either free type at the top by clicking "Add" Notes or there is a box within the area of the customers address / contact details. However the system doesn't separate the notes and doesn't date them. You physically have to do this yourself....I would think personally it would be worth adding a new section within the customer area.
Currently it has the following tabs...."Transaction Details" this details invoices, then "Customer Details" - which includes contact details...address etc. It would be really useful if there was a tab called something like Correspondence or communication ?? Here you could enter, if you have called the customer etc...also in an ideal world it would pull in the information when you have sent a an invoice reminder etc
Hey @CoachDoor
I can see you've really well thought out your interest in this section, and what you'd like it to do.
I've copied your post and sent it to the development team, as we can internally feedback ideas; but I'd definitely be advising you to share your ideas with the developers directly. You can do this within product using the Cog-Wheel, Feedback option.
Thanks,
Other than the unstructured "notes" in customer detail that @CoachDoor is highlighting there is a notes section in each vendor detail screen but you cannot add a note outside of the detail apparently until you have added one inside.
QBO or even QB Desktop has never been known for or even advertised for CRM, not even bad CRM which it is. Intuit "owns" that it does not "do" CRM. That is why there are extra cost CRM apps.
You have clicked a link to a site outside of the QuickBooks or ProFile Communities. By clicking "Continue", you will leave the community and be taken to that site instead.
