Trying to check if the HMRC login password is a client one or an agent one but doesn't seem to show details anywhere?

I have some information about your HMRC login credentials. The Government Gateway User ID and Government Gateway Password will depend on how you activated your MTD. If you've activated it as a reporting agent, then use your accountant's login. However, if it's not registered as a reporting agent, you'll want to use your client's HMRC login.

To check:

1. Go to your Client account.
2. Select Account and settings.
3. Click Payroll. From there check your Gateway ID. It's the same ID with your payroll.
