Hello there, @InspectorTom. I'll share information about downgrading your company file in QuickBooks.
Yes, the multicurrency feature cannot be turned off, and you cannot switch to QuickBooks Simple Start since this version does not support multicurrency. Also, errors occur if there are turned-on features available in your current plan, which may caused by connected third-party apps.
The following are the features you have to turn off:
- Pause recurring transaction templates:
- Go to Settings and choose Recurring Transactions.
- Select a template. Then click the Edit dropdown.
- Tap Pause and then Pause again to confirm.
If you want to downgrade your subscription while the multicurrency feature is turned on, I suggest downgrading to QBO Essential. This version of QuickBooks also supports the multicurrency feature.
To downgrade your subscription, here's how:
- Navigate to the Gear icon.
- Click Billing & Subscription. Make sure your payment info is up-to-date.
- Choose to Downgrade your plan.
- Tap Choose Plan.
- Review what's changing with your new plan.
- When you're ready, hit Continue or Submit.
- Review the billing details.
- Tick Change plan, and then Done.
