Banking connections

All fine at the banking end with reconnection but then returns to wrong page of Quickbooks, back to sign in. Been trying for days on app and online. Any suggestions?

Welcome to Community space, Maddison.

When you're facing any issues while loading QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), it may be caused by certain browser-related issues. These issues may include outdated browser versions, cookies, and cache files. Let's work together to troubleshoot and resolve this so you can get back to your business.

If you want to log in online, we can start by opening your QBSE account in a private window. This way, it'll allow QBSE to begin with a fresh start. You can use these keyboard shortcuts to access an incognito window on supported browsers:

  • Safari: Control + Option + P
  • Google Chrome: Press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Firefox or Internet Explorer: Ctrl + Shift + P

Once you have opened the browser window, log in to your QBSE account and see if the program will run properly. If it does, proceed to clear your browser's cache. This process will remove and fix specific issues and help the program run optimally.

On the other hand, if you're trying to sign in to the app, we can refresh the app to resolve common problems. A large amount of data in the cache might cause this.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Menu icon and tap Help & Feedback.
  2. Select Refresh Data.
  3. Tap Refresh to confirm.

From your phone's settings, choose Apps. Then, select the QuickBooks app in the list, and click Storage. From there, tap Clear data.

If this keeps going on, you may restart your phone, update your phone's operating system, and re-install the QBSE app.

Moreover, if the same issue persists, I recommend contacting QuickBooks Self-Employed Support. They further investigate why the username of your bank keeps using the QBSE credentials.

Additionally, you can visit this article to learn how to enter sales income and expenses in QBSE: Manually add transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Let me know if you need more help signing in to your banking connections or any QBSE-related concerns. I'll be around for your response, and I'm always here to lend a hand. Stay safe.
