I seriously can't remember the last time QBSE worked properly!
There's an open banking issue between QB and the Coop Bank that's been rumbling on for years now.
For a while now, EVERY time I log in to QBSE or open the QB app, Coop Bank sends me an OTP. As much as this is annoying, I need it to download the transaction history.
Now, Coop Bank have stopped sending QB the codes. They work if I'm banking normally but nothing is coming through for the QB app or QB login online.
Downloading csv files is laborious and not efficient especially when QB has problems importing or even uploading them.
Why am I paying full price each month for something that doesn't work?
Hi EddieDelag Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Community. We sincerely appreciate your frustrations in relation to not being able to connect your bank. When you login to your account using an incognito/private window on a computer/browser select accounts > fix now are you receiving any type of error message or code?
Hi John,
in an incog window I get:
"Something kept us from connecting to get transactions here. Let's fix that. (103)
Hi EddieDelag Thanks for trying, I really appreciate it. I'd be grateful if you can select the cog/gear icon, from the main page > connect bank and attempt to connect the same account/entering the same credentials do you experience the same error?
While still in the incog window, the cog/gear method has finally connected to the Coop Bank and brought some missed transactions in, BUT, I can guarantee that within an hour the connection to the bank will have been lost again and we'll be back to square one.
In essence all we have done so far is find a temporary work-around to the exisiting work-around.
just to confirm that my "bank account needs attention" and the connection has gone :(
We recognize the urgency of having your account connected to your online banking. Let me help you rectify your banking connection and get transactions from them to your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), EddieDelag.
We appreciate you performing the recommended troubleshooting steps provided by my colleague. When managing bank transactions in your account, banking connectivity errors may require further review of your account or your banking institution. To resolve this, we can access your account using your QBSE mobile app. From there, we can enter the OTP code and manually modify your downloaded transactions.
If the same thing happens, I'd suggest contacting our Customer Care Team. They'll pull up your account in a secure environment and investigate what's causing this banking issue. Here's how to reach them:
Furthermore, you can start categorising your bank transactions in your account to ensure downloaded entries are in the correct line of your Schedule C.
We'll always be in touch if you have additional questions when managing bank connectivity or any banking concerns. Just keep us posted in the comments below so we can provide further help. Take care always.
I'm also still having the same issue, the only way I can get a temporary fix is by disconnecting my co-op accounts and adding it again, at least I don't lose any of the data. It works for that session but I guarantee I get the same problem.next time I log in
