Error 590 bank connection issues

I’ve been trying to reconnect my Royal Bank of Scotland account for some time now to no avail. Keep getting error 590. Help!

Error 590 bank connection issues

Hello and welcome to the Community, LouisaYoga

 

We're not aware of any current issues with RBS accounts in QuickBooks. 

 

Error 590 typically doesn't last more than 48 hours and should self-resolve on its own. If the error persists, you can try reconnecting your bank account.

 

In QuickBooks Self-Employed, reconnect your account by following the steps below:

 

1. Remember the date of the last transaction. This will help avoid duplicate transactions when reconnecting the account and QuickBooks asks for the starting point to bring transactions back in.
2. Go to Settings ⚙ and select Bank accounts.
3. Select Connect another account.
4. In the search box, enter the name of the bank and account type.
5. Follow the onscreen instructions to connect your account. Once your reconnected, QuickBooks will automatically download your recent bank transactions.

 

Once you have reconnected your account, make sure to exclude any transactions that had already been downloaded through your previous connection to avoid duplication. If you require any further support, get back in touch below!
