Hi all. I am trying to move a bulk sum of money from my current account to the deposit account ( transffered in bank) I can not work out how to do this. Help please!

Thanks for coming back. Let me help you on how to show the money movement between the two accounts, stevehughes6.

We can manually track the funds from one bank account to the other one by using the Transfer feature. This way, it will show in your register the money movement from your current account to the deposit account.

Here's how:

Click the New plus icon on the left menu.
Tick Transfer under Other.
Select the bank account that the funds are coming out in the Transfer Funds From field.
Choose the bank account the funds are being deposited in the Transfer Funds To field.
Enter the amount in the Transfer Amount field.
Type the details in the Memo field on what's the description of the transfer transaction.
Hit Save and close.

Thanks for reaching out to us on the Community page,

If you go to the plus icon> under other is transfer> fill in the details> putting the date of when it happened in real life> then if you go to the banking screen if both banks are connected you will be able to match them as long as the date amount and account is the same.

Thanks, however i do not have my bank connected. I just want to show the money has moved from one account to another in QB.
