It's great to have you here today, Andreea.
When linking your bank account to QuickBooks Online (QBO), you'll be unable to download bank transactions past 90 days. However, I can assist you through the process of manually uploading them into QBO.
First, choose a start date to avoid entering duplicates. Here's how:
- Go to the Gear icon and select Chart of Accounts.
- Locate the bank or credit card you want to upload the transactions into.
- Click Account History. Find and take note of the oldest transaction date. Usually, the oldest transaction is the opening balance.
Next, download transactions from your bank. To do that:
- Log in to your bank or credit card's website.
- Follow the steps to save CSV files of your transactions to your computer. Each financial organization has its own set of procedures.
- Ensure the download date range starts at least one day before your oldest transaction.
- Download your transactions. Keep the file somewhere you can easily find, such as your computer's desktop.
For the additional steps, please refer to this article: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.
Similar to balancing your checkbook, you'll also have to review your QBO accounts to ensure they match your bank and credit card statements.
Please know I'm only a couple of clicks away if you need anything else about banking transactions. I'm always available to assist you further. Have a nice day!
