It's a pleasure to have you in the Community today, @Mark. I'm here now, and I'll be happy to walk you through the process so you can successfully disconnect a bank account connected to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
Know that it's a great move to disconnect your bank account if you decide that you don't need to get new transactions from your bank. I'll input the steps below so you can proceed. To begin, here's how:
- Access your QuickBooks Online company.
- On the left navigational bar, go to Bookkeeping.
- Click Transactions, then select Banking (Take me there).
- Select the tile for the bank account.
- Click the pencil icon, then select Edit account info.
- Select the Disconnect this account on save checkbox.
- Once done, hit Save and Close.
Also, I'd like to add that if you plan to use this bank again in the future. You will need to complete all the connection steps again. It includes reauthorising the bank by completing, printing, signing, and posting the authorisation form.
