Good day, biffdiff.
Allow me to share some insights on how bank feeds works in QuickBooks Online.
Yes. You should be able to connect your savings and credit card account even if they have the same login credentials. Also, we need to make sure your bank or credit card account supports Open banking before connecting them to QuickBooks.
To connect:
- Go to Banking.
- Click on Connect account from the landing page.
- Search for your bank and select Continue. Read through the terms and conditions, then hit Agree.
- Follow the steps on your bank's internet banking page to authorise QuickBooks to connect to your bank account. Once you authorise the connection, you’ll be redirected back to QuickBooks.
- Choose the bank accounts you want to connect, and which accounts they will link to in QuickBooks.
- Select Connect. QuickBooks is now connected to your bank accounts and your transactions are now available in the Banking menu.
We also need to check how your bank sends the downloaded transactions. You only need to connect the parent account if the transactions are downloaded to one account. If you download the transactions to individual accounts, you must add the subaccounts rather than the parent account.
For more details in connecting bank accounts and managing transactions, I recommend checking the following articles:
Let me know if you need further assistance or have other banking questions. I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Stay safe and have a great day!
