Hello Community Users, We just wanted to add on this older thread for future viewers that you can connect HSBC credit cards in Quickbooks Online. Any questions just ask.
Hello Lj8,
Im sure credit card accounts are on open banking, we know deposit accounts are not, it may come out soon in the near future, but currently, you will have to just csv the transactions into the account. There is no way of going back to the old feed as it has been disconnected. Our banking team is working closely with the banks to get all accounts onto the new open banking.
Hi Ashleigh1
Please could you confirm that HSBC credit cards work as my client is receiving error 324 for their HSBC credit cards and the feeds have not come through since the 03/04/2020. If they definitely do work that is great news and I can put my client in touch with your technical department to fix their problem. However based upon my research HSBC credit cards are not supported by open banking feeds and based upon the error messages I am receiving this would suggest I am correct in my assumption.
Thanks LJ8.
Our product engineers are working to get this resolved, lj8.
I recommend letting your client contact our QuickBooks support. They will be added to the list of affected users.
Here's how:
We appreciate your understanding on this matter.
There was a new HSBC "bank feed" that you could connect to for HSBC Bank (UK) - Business Banking – Other Accounts. Whilst it was not open banking it did allow me to connect the commercial / credit card and worked for a about a week. It worked like a standard feed ie you had to enter the code each time you wanted to update the Credit Card but at least it was easier than CSV imports.
However it no longer works and I am not able to reconnect to it

Chris

HSBC Bank (UK) - Business Banking – Other Accounts is Open Banking ready, so you’ll have to switch over to the new connection to continue using the bank feeds. To do that, check the banner on the Banking menu and then link the account from there.
Here’s how:

Thanks for the reply however I was a beta user in the UK for the HSBC Other Accounts and the testing of it. My comments were that it did work and now it has stopped. I was informed that it was NOT an Open Banking connection. So as is often the case with issues with HSBC banking connections I will leave it for several more days then try again
