I am having problems reconfiguring the new banking system on QB with my TSB account. Is there a problem with TSB bank just now.

One of the options I have given you already should resolve the issue for you. it is an apple issue to do with there settings it is not a Quickbooks issue.

I am just. back from my trip and thought I would try my Chromebook to see if this would work.  However, there is still an issue trying to log on to the bank (TSB) from the link on QB.  I don't think this is just a Mac issue.
Can someone at QB please sort this out.

I appreciate you attempting the troubleshooting across multiple devices. Can I check the specific account type of the TSB account and whether you are the primary account holder?

I am having problems reconfiguring the new banking system on QB with my TSB account. Is there a problem with TSB bank just now.

Quickbooks is not taking this seriously and now I can't connect at all (I've tried reconnecting because of the 90 day rule).  The service team are useless, they offer no refund because of this, despite it being flagged up months and months ago by me, and by so many other people.  If I can't use the app, why should I be paying if you can't sort it out?

 

And yes, NOTHING you have suggested works.

I agree, why are we still paying for the full app when we can't use one of the most important parts of it.  I look after the accounts for 4 companies and having to manually upload the bank statements each day takes up a lot more time than it should.  Seriously considering looking at other apps.

Thanks for making us aware of the issue you're experiencing with TSB bank, are you using a Mac pc and getting the error when reconnecting? This issue has been escalated with the banking team. We can not offer a refund for a bank not connecting as we are a 3rd party connecting to a bank as we can not control changes that would impact our connection by the bank. You can still upload an excel spreadsheet of downloaded bank transactions into QuickBooks and add and match as you would transactions through a bank connection, more information on how to do that can be found here.

I am findng the QB responses to be irritating. At least a month free should a service that a) does not work properly and b) I and many others flagged up months and months ago.  I have a MAC, a PC and an android phone.  As I have repeatedly told QB, the problem is across the board.  Please do not blame TSB.  If you can't get it together, you should let people know as it is now going to take time for me to go move my accounting elsewhere.  And telling me to put my transactions in a spreadsheet then to upload them renders QB redundant.  It's meant to make things easier.  Suggesting things that everyone has already tried or ways to get round it that aren't straight forward is insulting.

Hi I had the same problem as all of you i couldn’t link my tsb bank to my QuickBooks account for

several months , I had been trying to link it on my iPad and iMac but was unsuccessful however

today I tried today using my iPhone X using the QuickBooks app and it was a success all sorted

i thought maybe this can help you connect your accounts

Just in case anyone is still having problems getting their bank feed. I usually try once a week to see if I can get it to work and today it did.

 

I used Chrome on my Mac.

To be honest, I would not hold your breath looking for a solution from the QBO team, especially having read the response from Ashleigh1!

 

Please try this - I had to disconnect then reconnect the bank connection (which meant reviewing existing entries first). This is in line with QBO recommendations.

 

I then tried to reconnect, but couldn't - I could not work out whether it was a QBO issue or a TSB issue. I persevered with this attempt every day for several weeks.

 

I then went into incognito mode in the Chrome browser as a last resort, tried the same process from there, and it (the bank feed connection) went through without a hitch. It must therefore be either a browser caching issue (although I'd tried clearing cache and cookies), or possibly a DNS caching issue.

I'll never know for sure, but this did at least work for me - hopefully this helps someone before I move onto Xero!

I’ve been trying to connect my account for months and having the exact same issue (2 years on!)

I tried all of the troubleshooting suggestions from quickbooks and the response from live chat was it must be an issue with my bank, even though I was sure this wasn’t the case as the partner oauth window was an inuit one, rather than Tide and my banking app shows a record of each time I tried to connect and seemed to be successful on their end. 

Long story short, I followed your instructions exactly and this is the only thing that finally worked for me. If anyone is having the same issue definitely give it a go!

Hello Community Users, For anyone experiencing an issue with the bank connecting we just wanted to provide some tips. If you can the following options

1 Clear the cache on the browser. Making sure to select all time in the date range once done it will log out of Quickbooks on the browser.

Then  log back into Quickbooks and try the connection again.

2.Load Quickbooks on a private/incognito browser preferably on Chrome try t he connection again.

3.Try connecting through a mobile device on a browser

4.Try connecting on mobile Quickbooks app( This currently in particular is the only way to connect an HSBC Kinectic bank connection)

5.Lastly try disconnecting the connection in Quickbooks( in chart of accounts>edit from the action drop down menu by the bank chart of account and add a tick in disconnect on save and save and close) Then try reconnecting again.
