Can i retrieve all my transactions? I unlinked my bank account after I changed banks and now all my transactions have disappeared.
I’m here to shed some light on what will happen to your bank entries when disconnecting your online banking in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), @KarenG2.
When connecting your online banking, transactions will automatically flow into your bank feeds. When disconnected, all transactions left uncategorised in the For Review tab will be deleted.
Additionally, transactions older than 90 days will not be downloaded to your bank feeds automatically. Thus, we can consider manually uploading them via CSV to fix this. Rest assured that I will provide you with guidance throughout the process.
Let’s start by obtaining the file from your bank’s website. To do that, we can log in to your bank or credit card's website and follow their instructions to download it. After that, let's start working on these files to get them into your bank feeds.
To begin, take note of the following format used in importing your entries. You can choose to have it in either a 3-column format or a 4-column format. Then, proceed with uploading them by following the steps below:
Furthermore, I encourage you to keep your transactions organized by categorizing them.
