I’m trying to do a reconcilliation but QB won’t let me put in an end statement date so I can’t get into the reconciliation process

I would appreciate it if you could provide us with more information if there's an error message in reconciling your account. Since QuickBooks will let you enter your ending balance even if it's your first time reconciling.

 

However, before reconciling an account, ensure the opening balance matches your bank account balance in QuickBooks.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Transaction. Then, select Reconcile.
  2. Choose the account you want to reconcile under the Account section.
  3. Enter the Ending balance and the Ending date.
  4. Once done, select Start reconciling.

 

If you experience the same issue after reviewing your opening balance, I recommend troubleshooting your browser to successfully reconcile your account. Your browser's cache may sometimes affect QuickBooks Online's performance.

 

Here are some common steps that can resolve unexpected results in QBO:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

 

If you can successfully log in using a private browser, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache .
