I recorded a deposit as 6000 when it should have been 3000. How do I amend it?

Yes, Ross. We can modify manually generated deposits in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I'm delighted to show you how.

 

To make necessary changes to the deposit, we can utilize the Deposit Detail report to locate and edit it accurately. Please refer to the steps below to proceed:

 

  1. Log in to your QBO account and navigate to the Reports menu.
  2. On the Standard tab, enter and select Deposit Detail from the Find report by name search bar.
  3. Pick the accurate Report period to pull up the data rapidly or locate the deposit manually.
  4. Click the deposit. Then, edit it accordingly.
  5. Once done, hit Save and close.
