I've incorrectly called my business account a credit account

I acknowledge the importance of correcting the incorrect business account to a credit account in QuickBooks Online (QBO), I can help you with this concern, Tom.

You can change the incorrect account. However, you will receive a pop-up stating that changing the account may affect your accounting and reporting details. If you approve of it, you can click Yes.

Here’s how to change your business account to a credit account: 

1. From Bank transactions, go to Chart of Accounts.   
2. Select the business account, or search on the search bar for the business account.   
3. Click on the dropdown arrow and choose Edit.   
4. Pick a Credit Card in the Account type. You will receive a pop-up message.   
5. Click Yes, then Save.
