Hello, Beril.
I'm here to help you delete your account in QuickBooks Online.
To begin with, if you're referring to cancel your QuickBooks Online subscription, please note that the step in cancelling depends on where you signed up for your subscription. If you subscribed directly through Intuit's website, here's how to proceed:
- Open a web browser on your computer, not a mobile device.
- Sign in to QuickBooks Online as an admin user.
- Go to Settings and select Subscriptions and billing.
- Note: If you don't see the Subscriptions and billing tab, then you bought QuickBooks through a mobile app store. See the steps for your device below.
- In the QuickBooks section, select Cancel subscription or Cancel online. If you're cancelling a trial, select Cancel trial.
- Follow the on-screen steps.
Moreover, if you purchased your subscription through your phone, you could consider checking these articles:
Furthermore, if you're referring about deleting an account from your chart of accounts, please note that currently, it’s not possible to delete accounts. However, you can make them inactive. QuickBooks allows you to mark accounts as inactive instead of deleting them, ensuring you retain access to past transaction data for reporting purposes.
To make the account inactive, here's how:
- Go to Settings and select Chart of accounts.
- Find the account you want to delete.
- Select the Action dropdown and select Make inactive.
In addition, you can check this article for more information before making inactive the accounts: Make an account inactive on your chart of accounts in QuickBooks Online.
Furthermore, you can check this article about moving your transaction to the correct account: Categorise online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
Let us know if you have further questions about deleting your account. I'll be right here to help you anytime.
