Greetings!
Since yesterday, I can't match the banking transactions to the bills. An error occurred when I tried to match the bills. And I used "Resolving transactions" to record the bank charges. I'm pretty much sure I did it correctly. But I can't save it. When I try to save it, it always occurs the error "An unexpected failure occurred.".
Please find the attached screenshots;
Can anyone help me to fix this? As I think it should be a bug in QuickBooks.
I appreciate any help you can provide.
Hi, DileepaNirmal.
I appreciate you sharing the details with the screenshot of your concern. I'm here to help fix the issue you're having with when matching transactions to the bills in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to isolate the error you've encountered. There are times that the browser is full of frequently accessed pages thus causing some unusual behavior of the system. You'll have to first log into your QuickBooks account using a private browser (incognito). Here's how:
Once signed in, go to the Banking page, match your transactions, and then use the resolve difference feature. If it works, return to your regular browser and clear its cache and cookies. This will refresh the system and remove older data that causes viewing and performance issues. However, if the error message continues, you can use other supported browsers in performing the task.
If the same issue, I suggest contacting our support team and provide this INV-78847.This way, you'll be added to the list of the affected users and will receive updates through your email.
Once everything is matched, you can now reconcile the transactions. Check out this guide on how to do it in QuickBooks Online:
Kindly post an update on how things go on your end. I want to make sure if we're able to match banking transactions and I'll be right here when you need anything. Have a wonderful day. All the best!
Thanks for the reply.
I've tried it using incognito mode. As well as, tried the Mozilla Firefox browser. Still, I can't match the transactions. Nothing makes sense.
Thanks for getting back to us, DileepaNirmal.
We're hearing from other users who are experiencing the same problem. We'd like to let you know that we've already created a ticket about this error. While they are doing so, I recommend you contact our QuickBooks Support.
This way, they'd be able to add your account information to the list of affected users and link your case to the ongoing investigation. Any advancements will be communicated via email.
As an alternative, I'd recommend creating new expense transactions and matching them through the banking page.
