Need to link bank up with quick books but need a code hiw do I get it

I'm here to explain why you're getting this code, ayersmaintenance.

The two-step verification is a setting in QuickBooks Online where you need to verify using a code, that you're the one accessing your account every time you log in.

This is also a security and is important in QBO accounts to add an extra level of protection and to reduce fraud. If you want this turned-off, you can follow the steps below:

  1. Sign in to your Intuit account.
  2. From the left menu, select Sign In & Security.
  3. In the “Two-step verification” section, select Turn off.
  4. Enter the code, then select Continue.

Please read this article for more information: Verify Your Account With Multi-Factor Authentication.

Once done you can now connect your bank account in QuickBooks Online. For reference, I have these helpful articles that you can read in case you need more information.
