It was suggested that our PayPal Account should be disconnected from Bank Feeds on Quickbooks Online, due to Quickbooks not being able to convert the multi currency transactions. The transactions would then be imported by CSV file instead. I currently import NatWest Transactions using an OFX file.
When the account was disconnected, it disappeared from the Banking Page, so I am unsure what to do next. How do I get this account back on to the Banking Page and can the account be added to the Banking Page without it being linked to Bank Feeds?
Many thanks.

Hi HM-Bookkeeper-UK, the account will show on the banking page if this was previously authorised but not disconnected, or if this is not connected but contains transactions in the for-review from a CSV upload. Was the Natwest account fully disconnected?
Hi there, HM-Bookkeeper-UK.
I want to ensure your issue with connecting your bank account to QuickBooks Online (QBO) is taken care of.
You can add your bank account even without connecting it to the online banking feature in QuickBooks Online (QBO). You can follow the steps below on how to manually upload transactions:
For more information about uploading your bank accounts in QuickBooks, you can check out and review this article: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online. This also contains steps on how to categorize your bank transactions in QuickBooks.

Hi LeizyIM,
Many thanks for your reply.
The PayPal bank account is already set up in our Chart of Accounts, and has the transactions from mid December already there. Will importing the transactions from the 17th make the account reappear on the Banking Page?
I import transactions manually for our NatWest Account, but this account doesn't disappear from the Banking Page when it has been reconciled. Will this be the same for the PayPal once I have imported these transactions?
Many thanks.
Hi HM-Bookkeeper-UK If you upload a CSV file from the banking page and connect it to an existing chart of accounts the account/bank heading should appear on the banking page as well as the transactions that were imported that should show on the for review page, the same as an actual connection.
Thank you, by importing these transactions, it has reappeared on my Banking Page.
Problem now is it is still connected to the Bank Feeds, which is what I originally wanted to stop due to the multi-currencies messing up the accounts.
Hi HM-Bookkeeper-UK The CSV will have connected to the chart of accounts that you selected on importation. If the bank account was still connected to that chart of account before the import then you will have to disconnect the account. You may then have to import the CSV again.
Ok, so to disconnect a bank feed, we need to do this from the Chart of Account Page? By doing it this way, will the account remain on the banking page?
Hello HM-Bookkeeper-UK, If you disconnect the bank account in the chart of accounts page (you can do this by hitting the drop-down next to account history and edit and ticking the disconnect account on save box and then saving the change) then it will not disappear from the banking page if you are uploading CSV's in that page it will still be there to choose and when chosen it will show in the banking page the transactions uploaded to review. I hope that makes sense, Any questions just ask
Good Morning,
Thank you for your reply.
No problem, so disconnecting this on the Chart of Accounts will remove the account from the Banking Page until the CSV file is imported. This seems to be the case when I followed the instructions above you gave.
Is there a reason why our NatWest account, which we do the same, remains on the Banking Page? I suspect it is because it was previously linked but authorisation for bank feeds has expired.
Hi HM-Bookkeeper-UK, the account will show on the banking page if this was previously authorised but not disconnected, or if this is not connected but contains transactions in the for-review from a CSV upload. Was the Natwest account fully disconnected?
No I do not believe this was fully disconnected as it still has the link symbol next to the name in Chart of Accounts.
Thank you for your help, I will inform the company of this.
