Aug 29 and still not available. American Express support just says that it is still on their roadmap.
Ugh.. that sucks! It's very inconvenient adding everything manually. Sure, you can upload the csv file but there's a lot of clean up (for me) so it's easier and simpler to just add things manually. I don't have a lot of transactions to input so that's not too much of a bid deal. I wonder why they are so reluctant to add AMEX Business Checking.
October 3 and still not solved -
I just had an hour long conversation with a "specialist" on chat who knew absolutely nothing about this. When will we be able to connect Amex business checking to OBQ???
Hey there, kristine.
I know how important it is to connect your Amex checking account to QuickBooks Online. However, there isn’t a specific time frame as to when this connection is available.
We are working closely with banks and other financial institutions to provide smooth connections for as many account types as possible. In the meantime, I'd suggest coordinating with Amex. They'd be able to a provide an accurate updates regarding this issue.
You might want to manually import your transactions into QuickBooks via CSV file as a workaround, Here's an article for reference: Format CSV files in Excel to get bank transactions into QuickBooks.
Additionally, we can scan through the following resources below. These will provide us more information about the new banking regulation as well as lists of banks that supports open banking:
Understanding if you can connect your bank feeds to Open Banking.
If I can be of additional help while working in QuickBooks, please let me know. I'd be more than willing to lend you a hand. Have a good one, kristine.
January 2023 and this is still an issue. Just chiming in to say that I would love if Amex business checking could integrate to QB. I just switched and am finding out now that it is not supported. Unfortunate and frustrating.
