Connect Bank Account

Hi,

 

I am trying to connect my bank account, although quickbooks is sending a verification code to an old number.

My new number is connected to quickbooks, and my bank.

 

I am not sure how to move forward. How can the verification code get sent to the new number? 

 

My bank account is attached to the transaction page, although it wont work for the payments page.

We'll have to update your Intuit account's phone number so that the verification code can be sent to the new one, allowing you to proceed with connecting your bank to QuickBooks Online (QBO), Sky. I'll guide you through the steps below.

 

  1. Sign in to your Intuit account.
  2. From the left menu, choose Sign In & Security.
  3. Under the Phone section, click the Verify link and then hit Change.
  4. Enter your new phone number, and then click Save.

 

If you'll be asked for a code while changing your phone number, you need to submit an account recovery request to update your information.

 

After that, log back into QBO and connect your bank. Please see this article for the complete guide: Link bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.

 

Once connected, QuickBooks downloads your transactionsCategorise and match them with your existing entries to keep your accounts organized.

In order to change the number it asks to send a code to the old number to verify, that old number is no longer in circulation. How do I add a new number?

If you no longer have access to your phone or email on file, we can use the account recovery form in this section. We'll process your request within one business day. 

 

Here's how: 

 

  1. Click the account recovery form.
  2. Once an article is opened, scroll down and proceed to "I lost access to my phone or email address."
  3. From the ID Type dropdown, choose the identification you'll use to process your request.
  4. Select the purpose of your request in the Reason for Request dropdown. 
  5. From the Personal info section, complete all details needed. 
  6. Type in all information in the Sign in info section.
  7. Click the arrow below to proceed with your request.
