How to undo chart of accounts to get back initial accounts

Hello there

I was trying to connect a new bank, and use it as a sub account. Now I disconnect all the bank accounts and need to undo the change I made to get back to my initial transactions. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

How to undo chart of accounts to get back initial accounts

Hello Jodenel Amberase, thanks for posting on the Community page, so on the Chart Of Accounts you need to remove the sub account of the main bank account and then reconnect the bank accounts and use the account history for the missing transactions to be brought in  anything on the foreview will not show on the new connection as QB updated and the transactions left on for review are not guaranteed to  show.

How to undo chart of accounts to get back initial accounts

Thanks for your prompt answer, now It seems like I disconnect the bank account from my banking, because I don't see any of them at all to click on and track transactions. How to reconnect or undo that action to find my company at it was before that action was performed?

Thanks for coming back here on this thread, Jodenel. Allow me to chime in and share additional insights to help you reconnect your bank account.

With QuickBooks, reconnecting bank accounts can help bring in your transactions from your bank statements. That said, you can refer to the steps below to guide you on how to reconnect your banking account.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Banking.
  2. Select Link account.
  3. Search for your bank and select Continue.
  4. Read through the terms and conditions, then select Agree.
  5. Follow the steps on your bank's internet banking page. Once you authorise the connection, you'll be redirected back to QuickBooks.
  6. Select the bank account you want to connect, and which accounts they will link to in QuickBooks.
  7. Once done, select Connect.

You'll want to visit this article for more detailed information: Reconnect your bank account in QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, you can check out the Audit log as a reference to track any changes made to your account.

Moreover, you can categorise and match online bank transactions to help you review and place these data into the correct accounts.
