Is anyone else having problems with the Co-operative bank feed continually disconnecting? I've refreshed is, disconnected and reconnected it and also cleared my cache.

It does reconnect when I go through the rigmarole as stated, but then the next time I login in, it needs doing again and can be hit and miss as to if it works!

Sometimes I do, asking if I want to report the problem, sometimes it works.

Today I got an error code - can't connect right now, try in a few hours. I then disconnected the bank and reconnected it - that worked.

I just know that I'll be back to square one tomorrow as that is what keeps happening.

Hello Growyourmindset, thanks for that so we do currently have issues with the connections with the co-op bank that our banking team are aware of and working on getting resolved and we are in communications with the co-op to work towards a resolution. If you do get the error code 590 when doing this connection there is an investigation on this which you can be added onto so you receive any updates on it. If you reach out to our chat team they will be able to add you onto that inv if you receive the error 590 if you just quote  INV-77777 to get added onto.

Today when I logged on I got a code not seen before which is this :

Hi growyourmindset, thanks for getting back to us here. The 350 error is a separate known issue caused by changes to the token expiry period offered by the Co-op bank, which has been reduced from the standard 90-day open banking period. We're working with them to understand these changes, and to ultimately return this to the standard timeframe. In the meantime, you can re-authorise the connection when you see this error to update the account. :)

I've just had the horror of trying to sort this out using online chat.  Third time of contacting them and denial that the connection was being lost.  Fobbed off and told there is no issue.

Thank you.  I've been given the runaround by three separate customer service reps and told that I can't possibly be losing the 90-day connection and to just use the 'gear icon' and follow the steps there, even detailed helpfully for me.  Told to use incognito pages as it was 'cookies' causing a problem (it was not).  I was even given the reason why I have to reconnect every 90 days as if I was moaning about that!  Hah, if only!  I'd love to have only had to do it every 90 days instead of every time I log on.   I was told to use different browsers even which, yes, I tried, but of course that doesn't work either.  Today I have been told it is 'resolved' as I unlinked the account and reconnected.  Doesn't sound like it from what you've written.  They had to retrieve my data for me which was a nerve-racking moment!  I wasn't actually getting an error code every time but told to renew the connection every day on the transaction page in a red box - which I was told was just a 'cosmetic' error:face_with_rolling_eyes:  The customer service reps clearly had no idea though today's seemed to find out about it halfway through the conversation today - though they avoided admitting anything!  Which actually made me think a LOT less of the service as I'm a fan of honesty.  If there is a problem, fair enough, I can work with that.  Being told I'm just doing it 'wrong' is not impressive when somehow I'd managed before!   I'm spelling it out here in case others read this.  If I log in tomorrow - will it just be the same thing again?  Losing the connection still?  The customer service rep was very sure they'd solved it.

I'm sorry for the misinformation provided by our team today, PhilK99. There are currently two known issues with the Co-op bank, the first is relating to the 590 error which prevents transactions from updating, and the second is to do with the disconnect. The latter issue is caused by an update to the token expiry period offered by the Co-op bank, which has been reduced from the standard 90-day open banking period to within 24 hours. This means that authorisation would need to be given if updating the feed outside of this time period. We're working with the Co-op to return this to the standard period, and apologise for the frustration being caused by this in the meantime.

Has it been reduced to 'daily?' because that is what I am experiencing more and more! If you read the issues that Phil is having in this thread, this is totally the same for me.

As of now, the investigation about being unable to connect the Co-Operative bank account is still ongoing. That said, I'd recommend reaching out to our phone support team so your company details will be added as one of the affected users.

 

You can contact us through the ? Help menu. Here's how:

 

  1. Click the ? Help icon.
  2. On the Assistant tab, enter Talk to a human.
  3. Hit Contact a human.
  4. Select either Live Chat or Call me back.

 

As a workaround, you can bring your transactions using a CSV file. Before doing so, you'll have to review the file format and size. Then, you can start uploading the transactions. You can check this article for the detailed steps of the process: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

Hi JBPrint, thanks for joining this thread - we currently have a widespread issue for this error with the Co-operative bank and a fix is due to be released. We'll be updating this thread once this has been confirmed by our banking team. :)

I have been having this problem for a couple of months now and am beyond frustrated with the poor service of QBO.  I get standard emails telling me I need to re-authorise my connection when the problem is not with me but with QBO/Co-op Bank, and then I get emails every 2 weeks (!) saying they are still looking into the problem.  The CSV downloads cause more problems so I just manually check the bank account, list the ins and outs and manually adjust QBo to show the same.

 

Just not good enough.

Hello LucyMDC, thanks for posting on this thread, we know this is not ideal and take everything on board what you are saying, our team are continuously working on getting this resolved fully for our customers, we appreciate it is taking long then expected but we want to a sure you it is being worked on.

Hi jtready, a fix for the Co-operative bank connection errors (350 and 590) was deployed yesterday - please navigate to your banking page and connect the Co-op feed to resume downloading transactions. Thanks for your patience while we worked on this. :)

Thanks.  It chucked out the error message when I first logged on this morning but has now updated.
