My accountant is unable to download my bank transactions from Quickbooks, my account is Sole Trader package - Do I need to upgrade for the accountant to be able to do so?

Your accountant should generally be able to access and download bank transactions directly from your QuickBooks Sole Trader account, regardless of the plan you're using., feel-thomas.

To resolve the issue, ensure your accountant has been invited to access your QuickBooks Sole Trader account and has the necessary permissions to view your data. To confirm, here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon at the top and choose Add accountant.
  2. Select the Accounting Firms tab.

From there, check if your accountant is on the list. If you're unable to invite your accountant, here’s what you'll need to do:

  1. In the left menu, choose My accountant.
  2. If you are inviting an accountant for the first time, enter the accountant's email address, then select Invite.
  3. Follow the prompt to verify your account.

Once complete, your accountant will receive an email with an invitation. They'll need to follow the steps in the email to accept the invitation. After the invitation has been accepted, your accountant will be able to log in and review your account.

However, if your accountant still cannot download transactions, we suggest checking that your bank accounts are properly connected and that transactions have been successfully imported into QuickBooks. If there's an issue with the bank connection, it may prevent transactions from being visible or downloadable.

If you have any other QuickBooks concerns, please don't hesitate to post again here. We'd be happy to lend a hand.
