Hi
I have read other Questions & Others regarding this issue but I am wondering if I could try this.
I have entered the wrong date on one month of my credit cards and have reconcilled this. I have put August 2021 instead of August 2020, I have read that you can change individual transactions to be unreconcilled but could I change each transaction one by one in that month, would that work ? As my accountant is not being very helpful witth any issues i am having, I just really dont know what to do !
Would you appreciate anyones help
Thanks in advance
Yes, exactly you can do that, Jt72.
You can undo each reconciled transaction one at a time to minimize the impact on your books if you want to modify the date.
Here's how:
Check out this article for your reference: Undo or remove transactions from reconciliations in QuickBooks Online. You can reach out to your accountant if you want to undo reconciliation for the entire month and start over.
In addition, I've included this resource if QuickBooks Online doesn't match your bank statement: Fix issues at the end of reconciliation in QuickBooks Online. Here you can find the thorough steps on fixing it.

Hi
thank you for your help.
If I delete all of the transactions will it cause any problems eg with the report ? (The report you can go into and look at , with all of the details of the reconciliation)
Hello Jt72!
It'll cause discrepancies and will mess up your data once you delete the transactions. I'm here to further assist you in fixing your reconciliation.
Although it'll reflect on the Reconciliation Discrepancy Report that you deleted the transactions, note that you can't undo them. The best option is to manually unreconcile them, then reconcile them again.
You can check this link: Learn the reconcile workflow in QuickBooks. This will show you the detailed steps in balancing your accounts and how to fix reconciliation issues.
