I can help walk you through the whole process on how to match the Supplier refund to credit in QuickBooks Online.
Since you already recorded a credit, you can now proceed to enter the refund on the deposits screen. Let me guide you how:
- Go to the Plus icon at the top.
- Choose Bank Deposit under Other.
- Click the Account drop-down arrow, then pick an appropriate account.
- In the Account column, choose Accounts Payable, then complete the needed information.
- Hit Save and close.
After that, let's write a cheque so you can link the deposit to the credit.
Here's how:
- Click the New (+) icon at the top.
- Select Cheque under Suppliers.
- Choose the supplier name in the Payee drop-down.
- In the Expense section, select the Add for outstanding supplier deposit.
- Tap Save and Close.

You can always open the Transaction List by Supplier to check the remaining balance of their credits and also their different transactions. Then customise it to show the specific details. See the sample screenshot below:
