How to set up different rates for different customers ?

Hi there, Mark.

I'd be glad to help you with your QuickBooks Online Concern (QBO).

If I may ask, are you trying to set up your Vat rate? If that's what you're trying to do you can follow these steps:

  1. To access the VAT Centre, start by clicking on VAT on the left navigation.
  2. Go to Taxes, then select Set up VAT.
  3. On the Setup VAT page, select the beginning month of your current VAT period.
  4. Choose your filing frequency then choose your VAT accounting scheme.
  5. Enter your VAT registration number.
  6. If your business is entitled, select the Flat Rate Scheme (FRS) checkbox.
  7. Select Save.

For more detailed steps, you can check out this article: Set up and edit VAT settings, codes and rates

Let me share the reference about the common VAT Codes for more information.

Get back to us if you have other VAT concerns. We're just around to help you.

Hi mark284 It's not possible to create different sales rates for each customer, sales rates can only be allocated against products and services. We will of course submit your valued feedback to our developers to see if it's something that could be implemented in the future and we also encourage you to leave feedback within the product.
