Hello Usernestor-ale, The new VAT category is that assigned to the same agency HMRC? Is that toggled on if you go to VAT>edit VAT>edit rates?
I want to ensure this is taken care of, @usernestor-ale.
Usually, this error occurs when there's too much cache in your browser. To fix this, let's perform some troubleshooting steps. Let's start by accessing your QuickBooks (QBO) account using a private browser. The following are the shortcut keys you can use:
Once done, import your bills again using the new category. If this works, let's clear the cache and cookies of your browser. If not, you can use another supported browser. Possible that your current browser may have a temporary issue with QuickBooks.
Also, I encourage checking our Help articles page to learn some tips and tricks in managing your QBO account. From there, you can read great articles that can guide you through the steps by steps process.

sorry, i was looking "inside" the tax rate itself, but in the previous screen, where you see the list of available rates, and yes, all switches are ON
But,,, even using the private window, the rate is not available when trying to import bills, then, if I click on "See all rates" it is not there either.
It doesn't look like a cache problem to me.
See attached screenshots please
for the time being, I think I will import using any other tax, and then change it manually...not perfect, but will allow me to carry on
not working, Im using EXEMPT code, but then got error "UNDEFINED" (see error here https://prnt.sc/ybxa27 )
see atttached sample csv file here: https://docdro.id/TIhKYEw
Thanks
