Welcome to the Community, makaradistributi.

I'm here to share some information about payslips in QuickBooks Online Payroll.

For security purposes, payslips are password-protected when emailed from QuickBooks. You'll need to enter a unique password to open the document. The password is consists of eight characters and made up of the following:

  • First 4 letters of the employee’s surname (lowercase). If it's shorter than 4 letters use the complete surname.
  • First 4 characters of the NI number (lowercase). If the NI number is not there, then the employee’s birth year is used instead.

For example, if your surname is Smith and your NI number is AB234455C, then the password would be smitab23. If you have a surname with less than 4 letters, like the surname Or and the NI number is AB345678C, the password would be orab34

Here's an article for more details: Payslips in QuickBooks Online Standard Payroll.

You can also check out this link and learn how to invite employees to QuickBooks Workforce to see payslips, P60s and more.

I'll be around if you still need help with payslips or any payroll related concerns. Have a wonderful week!
