Hello Rob115,
Welcome to the Community page,
We do not support corporation tax in Quickbooks, you can manually calculate the corporation tax amount from your profit. Then do a journal from the retained earnings account to a corporation tax liability account. you would have to set this up , then when you pay it to HMRC create an expense and in the category column of the expense select the liability account. We'd recommend speaking with an accountant though to confirm they are with this.
Hello Community Users, we just wanted to pop in and add an update regarding corporation tax and QuickBooks Online. There is now an option in workpapers in QuickBooks Online Accountant version to prepare and submit the corporation tax return (sometimes called CT600 form) We have included a help article on the how to steps here for any accountant users who would like more information.
Any questions please just ask them.
can you please explain in detail that how do i file and pay UAE corporate tax in QuickBooks online ?
Thank you for sharing your concern regarding filing and payment of corporate taxes using QuickBooks Online (QBO) International, Abu. Currently, the option to file and pay corporate taxes is only available in the United Kingdom (UK) version of QBO. However, I’d be happy to share some tips on how you can efficiently manage your corporate tax obligations outside of the UK version.
Since you’re in the UAE or another region outside the UK, I recommend utilizing QBO to generate financial reports such as the Profit and Loss Report and Balance Sheet to determine your taxable income and deductible expenses. These reports will provide the essential data to prepare your corporate tax return.
As direct filing and payment of corporate taxes are not supported within QBO International, you'll need to calculate, file, and pay your corporate taxes manually through your local tax authority’s portal, such as the UAE Ministry of Finance.
Additionally, I’m providing this helpful article you can use after filing and paying your taxes through your local authority’s portal. It will guide you on how to keep your QuickBooks Online records in sync with your actual tax payments, making your bookkeeping easier and more accurate: File your tax return and record tax payments in QuickBooks Online.
If you need more guidance on managing corporate tax in the UAE or how to use QuickBooks to streamline your tax preparation, Abu. Please feel free to leave a reply below. We're always here to help!
