Hi @julie cockayne,
I'll help ensure you're able to submit your FPS within QuickBooks Online (QBO).
A common cause of rejection when submitting an FPS is the Government Gateway credentials entered. It's either not activated yet, or it was entered incorrectly.
To activate your credentials, see this article for steps: Turn on RTI reporting to HMRC in QuickBooks Online Standard Payroll.
Once done, follow these steps to check if the entered Gateway credentials are correct:
In the future, if you'd like to view all your submitted FPS and EPS, view this article: View submitted FPS and EPS filings in QuickBooks Online Standard Payroll. You can find a list of FAQs right at the bottom of the page.

Hello Windell-Callagha,
Welcome to the Community page,
What is happening when you are trying to submit your FPS?
My FPS is late due to the new payroll migration. However, I submitted an EPS to notify HMRC of my client's ER NI eligibility and that submitted without any issues. I have processed payroll and the run my reports but when I try and submit the FPS I get a message: "There was an issue submitting your filing. Wait a moment and try again. If the problem continues, contact us."
Hello Windell-callagha,
which payroll are you suing is it standard or advanced payroll?
Also which web browser are you using is it google chrome, safari, edge?
I am using Standard payroll and Chrome browser
Hello Windell-callagha,
What period are you trying to submit this for?
30th April
Hello Windell-callagha,
Been speaking to one of our engineers and it was down yesterday. Do you have any previous FPS that hasn't been submitted in relation to march, that is showing in payroll taxes section, if you do delete them and then try submitting the April one.
No, there are no outstanding FPS's for March as I have completed my year end and processed / submitted everything for that year.
It's nice to have you back here, windell-callagha.
Thanks for the additional information about your outstanding FPS. As mentioned by my colleague, this is a known issue and our product engineers are currently investigating this behavior to get this fix as quickly as possible.
I would suggest reaching out to our phone support team so your company details will be added to the users' affected lists. That way, you'll be notified through email when an update is available. Here's how to contact them:
We appreciate your patience while we're working for a resolution.
Thank you.
I have logged a query with support and they have escalated the issue.
Hopefully it will be resolved soon.

I had the same problem for months and wasted so much time trying to resolve it. The solution is to delete any of last years entries and then submit chronologically.
