I am with Intuit online. How to file CT600 Corporation Tax.

Hello Nilesh-mate,

Welcome to the Community page,

In Quickbooks, we don't support Corporation tax, so you cant file it in Quickbooks.

You would have to do it through the HMRC site instead

HMRC are changing the way that Corporation Tax returns can be filed.

I've got a year for QuickBooks to make their software capable of filing CT600s, or else I will have to find an alternative software provider.

What have QuickBooks got planned to  make me want to carry on using their software?

You can file your return through Making Tax Digital (MTD) using functional compatible software that can connect directly to HMRC, Si1111.

I understand how essential it is for you to have accounting software that keeps pace with the option to file tax returns. It’s important to note that HMRC sets the regulations for tax return submissions, and we at QuickBooks are committed to keeping our software compliant with these guidelines.

Please know that our product engineers is actively working on updates to our platform to accommodate these changes, including the ability to file CT600s to help users seamlessly navigate this in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Thus, I recommend submitting your request to them so they can consider collaborating with HMRC and add this option in future updates.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then choose Feedback.
  2. Type in your product suggestions.
  3. Select Next to submit.

Once done filing, you can check Steps 3 and 4 in this article to check the filing status and manually record the payment in QBO: File your VAT return and record VAT payments.

Afterward, you can run the VAT Liability report to ensure your VAT return is accurate before submitting it to HMRC, view details by tax agency, and drill down into individual transactions: Use VAT reports in QuickBooks.

Thank you for understanding. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any additional needs or further inquiries about tax concerns. We look forward to continuing our support.
