I would like to allocate an employee payroll cost to a particular class, is that possible? I am using QBO payroll.

We're unable to assign a class to a payroll cost in Standard payroll. I suggest finding a third-party app that's capable of doing this. Simply click on Apps on the left navigation bar or visit the App store page. Just change the flag icon to UK to get a list for your region.
