How does payroll work within quick books when I employ people intermittently depending on workload etc.
They may work two weeks of the month or not at all for six months.
They are my friends and the only way to give them work is on a PAYE basis rather than CIS so they are covered by our public liability etc

For intermittent employees, you can have their status as Paid irregularly. You can follow the steps below to get this done.
