Matching bank transactions to payroll? It has worked for the past 4 years, but now it doesn’t match last month transactions to employees to the payroll?

I recognize the importance of aligning your payroll with bank transactions, @dmpattern. I have some information about matching your bank and payroll transactions.

We can check your bank account using your payroll settings to see if they match your bank account. There's a possibility that the bank account and the bank to which the payroll has been deducted are not the same. Follow these steps to check:

  1. Click the Gear icon in the upper right corner.
  2. Under Your Company, select the Payroll Settings.
  3. On the Accounting tab, click the Pencil or Edit icon.
  4. Check the bank account.
  5. After confirming, hit Done.

After confirming that the bank and payroll accounts are the same, I recommend reaching out to our payroll support team. They possess the necessary tools and expertise to investigate this matter more thoroughly and securely.

You can refer to this article to learn more about matching your transactions: Match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

If you'd like to categorize your transactions automatically, you can check out this article: Set up bank rules to categorize online banking transactions in QuickBooks Online.

I'll be here if you still have questions about your bank transactions. Have a great day ahead.
