Quickbooks payroll posts the weekly transaction to payroll clearing in quickbooks accounts, when i make a payment to the employee through the bank account how do i post ?

I can share some insights about running payroll in QuickBooks Online.

 

When using the Standard Payroll version, the bank account you use to pay an employee is already included in the journal entry. You no longer need to record an expense transaction in the system.

 

To set the bank account where the journal entry will post, here's how:

 

  1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner.
  2. Select Account and Settings.
  3. Go to Payroll.
  4. Change the Net pay account.

If you're using Advanced Payroll, you'll have to record an expense transaction and post it to the payroll clearing account. During the process, you'll be able to see the Bank account and Expense transaction that you can choose at the top.
